Where does the name Waffle come from?

We get this question a lot! Why would you name an insurance company after food?

Insurance today is siloed. You have separate car, home, health, and life products. Waffle bridges the gaps between all types of insurance. Whenever we drew this idea on a whiteboard, it always looked like a Waffle.

It also doesn’t hurt that one of the founders is Belgian.
